Who We Are...
Hi, we are Anna and Rob and we opened Herbariwm's doors in autumn 2024 in the historic port town of Caernarfon.
The word Herbariwm is the Welsh spelling of herbarium (pronounced herb-air-ee-um) - a systematic collection of dried or pressed flowers, originally used for botanical identification.
We are both graduates of natural sciences at Bangor University who, during lockdown in 2020, became interested in working with our hands - making wooden furniture, growing, collecting and preserving flowers, and dispaying them all in creative ways. This hobby turned into a small business and then evolved into the full-sized shop it is today, where alongside our products sit beautiful handmade art, pottery, greetings cards and much more from local Welsh makers.
Herbariwm is a local hub "where art meets nature", with sustainability and sourcing locally grown flowers and materials being at the heart of everything we do.
