'Large Cong' Stoneware Vase

This beautiful, one-of-a-kind stoneware vase is hand made on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Món) by one of our local potters, Martin Schwaller. Inspired by Chinese art and architecture, this vase takes the shape of a 'cong' - ancient ceramics found in Chinese temples, the use of which is unknown. Truly unique, this vase is a perfect vessel for dried flowers.

As an artist, Martin is exploring how the power in the rocks sculpts our landscape and the culture of its people and what they tell us about deep time - past, present and future.
